My program consists of a fall and spring term of 18 weeks each.  Each student has a weekly private lesson, and in addition to that, an opportunity to join an ensemble class each week with other students at their ability level.  Students need to have their weekly private lesson to be able to join an ensemble class.  Adding ensemble and playing with others, and developing peer support, can be an integral part of the longevity of your child’s instrumental education.  I do not have students only in ensemble.

Your payment and scheduling commitment is per term, not on a week to week basis.  I ask for either the full term payment at Lesson 1, or 3 separate payments of 6 lessons each.  Lesson Payment dates are on my Term Lesson Schedule.  Once we have reserved the weekly time for each student, with no prior notice necessary,  you are free to cancel up to 2 lessons per term.  Those lessons are put on my make up sheet and made up on the designated make up dates that I have on my Term Lesson Schedule.  I have my designated make up dates before our Student Recital at the end of each term.  In the Fall Term, if two lessons are missed, I will give a double lesson on the designated make up date.  I do not accrue time from one term to the next.  In the event that the designated make up dates do not work in your schedule, I will make every effort to be flexible, but in the event that a lesson cannot be made up, the lessons will be lost.  I do not make up ensemble classes.
The Term Lesson Schedule outlines my 18 week schedule for each day of the week.  Once the student knows what day of the week their lesson is, please scroll down to that particular days schedule to see the full 18 week term, including Lesson Dates, No Lesson Dates, Payment Dates, Designated Make Up Dates and Student Recital Date.
Guitar Rental is $100 per term.  In the event that the instrument is damaged significantly, I will require the full purchase price of the instrument, $600.
I also will ask for an additional $20 in Payment 1 to pay the Student Recital Fee.  The Student Recital might be the most important day of the term.  The lesson process throughout the term culminates on a special day when all of us share our music with each other.  Students always feel excited and nervous to present their work, and time and time again you see the real gratification that comes from this process.  We will all be proud of them on this day.  The cost offsets either the fee, or the donation, that we make to reserve whatever room we are using for the Recital.
My rates have not changed for the last 15 years.  I am raising my rate by $5 for both my 45 minute lesson and my 60 minute lesson.  I also am raising my ensemble class rate by $5 at each class duration.
Private Lesson Rates are as follows :
30 minute lesson = $40     Per term = $720
45 minute lesson = $65     Per term = $1,170
60 minute lessons = $80   Per term = $1,440
90 minute lessons = $115   Per term = $2,070
Ensemble Class Rates:
45 minute class = $40  Per term = $720
60 minute class = $45  Per term = $810
90 minute class = $50  Per term = $900
A phone call is necessary to work through the initial schedule.  Please, if you can, begin to gather other schedules from coaches etc…to find the right scheduling fit.
Look forward to a music filled 2024-2025 school year.
